How Doing Yoga For Golf On The Ball Can Quickly Improve Women Golfers` Balance
And Stability - By Mike Pedersen, CPT
Are you getting tighter by the day? Do you feel like your balance and stability
isn`t what it could be? Doing yoga with a ball will help.
Improving flexibility is a well-known thought for most golfers, including women
golfers. But why are women golfers hesitant to stretch regularly? Could it be that
it?s boring?
There is a growing population of women golfers who are taking up yoga. Yoga is
a great resource for not only improving your flexibility ? but strengthening your
core and improving your balance for a more stable golf swing.
Some of you may not be interested in the benefits of yoga for your game. That?s
why adding some interest by incorporating a stability ball in the routine might
increase your interest in doing yoga.
Using a stability ball in a yoga routine can add some visual interest as well
as challenge. The stability ball by itself works the core and stabilizing muscles
of the entire body. Add some yoga exercises and you?ve got a great workout that
will dramatically improve your golf game.
GOLF TIP: The Simple Exercise That Helps You Relieve Back Pain -- and stress
on your hips when you play.
This exercise targets the muscle groups in your hamstrings, glutes and hips.
Theses are key muscles to strengthen to not only reduce back pain, but improve golf
posture and stability in your swing. Here`s the exercise that will solve that problem:
I call it the "Bridge On The Ball" It requires the use of a stability ball. Sit
on the ball and roll out until only your head and upper back are on the ball. Now
raise your hips up until they are parallel with the ground. Hold this position for
up to 60 seconds and repeat 3 times. That`s all there is to it! Do this exercise
everyday and you will notice a marked improvement in lower back pain and stability
in your golf swing.
Consider this: It`s proven that tension in the golf swing is a killer. Really
pay attention to how you feel on the course. Standing over a shot that you don?t
feel comfortable with. That?s a common scenario in golf. The result is undo tension
- causing mishits and higher scores.
Being able to trust your body during every shot will greatly reduce the amount
of tension your produce in your swing give you the best chance at solid-ball contact
and greater distance and accuracy.

What is the matrix? - by Larry A. Cochran
I have begun to delve into the controversial thought of an existing matrix in our
day and time. I have reason to believe that there is such an existence of this folkloric
type of ideal. Not to be confused with the type of matrix the director of the movie
conceived when he made the title, but there is a compared realism to the truth behind
the movie. There is a matrix, but it is not a physical matrix that engulfs society
while machines plot to take control of man; however, we have to realize that most
of the ideals behind the concepts of the movie were real.
It is very possible, today, for a machine to think independently with only it’s
a personal perception of what all the influencing factors mean. Machines do need
to be conceived and programmed in order to do this thinking, but so does man in
order to formulate his or her opinions. Studies have shown that the cloning of human
beings is more and more ready for common use. That really makes me think about the
lengths that mankind has gone to prove that we are self-existing. And the most undeniable
fact is that mankind, as a whole would rather live in a society of supposed freedom
rather than the reality of true freedom.
No, I do not believe that machines will ultimately decide the fate of man, but
I do believe that a select few from mankind will help man to decide. Giving the
fact that all true believers will already be gone. With the threat of nuclear war,
and New World Order, the truth about Armageddon is just one step closer. Many skeptics
believe that the signs that we see today are not telling man to watch out, and many
religious people are taking an inadequate approach to the receiving of our God.
The matrix would then be the reality of which we are really in. No man can tell
us, because no man really knows. The matrix is a harsh slap in the face, which comes
after there are no resources left and questions, have still not been answered. I
believe that there is a God. This being God would mean that there is the ability
to shape, changes or mold anything the way that is perceived as fitting. That would
mean that God could send a son to earth to live as man and then he would die as
man to receive punishment for man’s wanton acts of treason against their creator.
What is really true about this, regardless of how even skeptics look at it is
that, everything we see comes from something, but the things we don’t see are the
things we can’t truly explain.
The matrix is also the lies that encompass us on a daily basis, to help us make
it through them. It is difficult for mankind to say that they can make it through
life without one single act of delusion to offset what is we see as wrong and do
nothing to correct it. Can a person be totally filled and satisfied by only the
five senses? When I think of the matrix, I think of all the failures that I have
built up in my lifetime and all the disappointments that I have caused to come upon
others and myself. I realize that the truth about my life lies within the decisions
that I make on a continuing basis. There hasn’t been one time where I recall not
having to make a decision as to what I was going to do, eat, wear, or live. There
has never been a moment where I would cease to choose between getting up and staying
in bed, watching or participating, and doing what is right or doing what is wrong.
Even in my deciding, I have to realize that the influences that I allow to enter
into my thoughts, are matters of my judgement.
In conclusion, the matrix is no more than the reality that we refuse to face
in our day to day living. It is the physical distractions that we place in front
of ourselves to keep us from facing the ultimate responsibilities. The matrix is
the facts that we don’t face.
The Human Mind.
The human memory is comparable to the RAM memory and the hard drive of a computer
system. Most of the thoughts and ideas pass through them at one time or another.
Occasionally it has to be cleansed from all the processes and events and experiences
that are not currently running or needed. The hard drive is limited in space, but
it is the place where vital documentation and process information is stored. Neither
can operate properly without the other.
The information, event, or experience is loaded through the disk drive, which
is like the five senses of the human being. The information is loaded to the RAM
memory for arranging, prioritizing and clarifying. The RAM can process slow or fast
depending upon how much a computer has. Unlike the computer, the human can not purchase
more RAM, but the human can acquire it. Obtaining more RAM for the human is a matter
of knowledge multiplied by time multiplied by experience equaling wisdom or the
ability to utilize the knowledge acquired. The more of every thing that man receives
into the memory the slower man becomes in daily process. This is the purpose of
the rearranging, prioritizing and the clarifying.
What man should use to cleanse his or her mind is the word of God. The word comes
in and begins to remove what is not needed and prioritize that which is vital. God
is the CPU of man and without God, there can be no processing. What happens without
God is that man will go around and try to analyze for himself what is and what is
not? The only flaw in this analyzing is that there is no connection between the
knowledge, the time, or the experience, which results in a lack of complete wisdom.
Men may rise in one area, but fall in the others. Mankind is also subjected to many
kinds of viruses known as sin and transgression. These sins and transgression cause
problems and eventually terminal shutdown.
Looking again at the computer operation, there are things that are common for
all, but the majority of information is acquired. There are basic tools that are
needed even in the acquisition of knowledge. God is the supplier of these basic
essentials. The computer cannot function without its creator, nor can man without
his. The final analysis is mankind will not make it without the help of its creator.
SOCIETAL THINKING
Society has become so complacent with anything that may seem to be good, that
the people in it will do things without actually taking any thought to it. Taking
the situation of a wedding for instance, what is the most valuable part of a wedding?
The most valuable part of the wedding is the covenant between the two people. When
there is anything thing that is of value, there tends to be a higher demand for
that thing. Every one wants to be in a wholesome covenant, but not all people strive
to be in a wholesome covenant. The entire marriage is a sham from the beginning.
During the dating phase, the man and the woman do things that they do not intend
to keep up, in the event that they continue on into marriage. Then, during the engagement
and the planning of the marriage, the two will prepare for a wedding more than for
the days after the wedding. After the wedding, they usually go on a fantasy world
trip that does not depict how the actual relationship is about to be. From the beginning
until the end, there is a setup for destruction or sourness in the relationship.
Looking at each segment of the relationship more closely, it can be seen that things
can be done moderately, conveniently, happily, and with the spirit of God, from
beginning to end. Not to say that conflict makes a person evil, but why go through
more negativity than necessary.
There is a period of courting where a couple is suppose to get to know each other,
not trying to devise a scheme to make that person change into what they want them
to be. A woman is going to be who she is and a man is going to be who he is. It
is the fact that the person is who they are which attracted the other in the first
place, if not, then it had to be lust. Realizing that every one has good points
and every one has bad points, people ought to search for that person which is compatible
to who they are individually. The bible tells believers not to be unequally yoked
with unbelievers for a reason. Was it only because of the spiritual portion of the
meaning, or was there more behind that than just the belief in God. It is the believer’s
eyes who should be opened and able to see the truth about a situation, especially
a believer seeking after Gods voice. There is an area in man that lacks and there
is another area in woman that lacks. The purpose is not to change a person into
someone who lacks the same thing, but rather to allow God to bring a person suitable
to that area of lack. What sense does it make for two people who don’t want a job
to marry and not have a means of support for them? This is also why God gave man
and woman roles to play in life.
During the courting period most people hide their true selves in hopes that they
will attract someone who will fill the void they have. Many will pretend to be more
than they really are. The problem is that no person will be able to give what is
needed if they don’t ever see that need. There are people who want their partner
to guess what is needed or even suggest what is needed. This can work for some but
not all. It makes more sense to allow people to see who they really are, so that
they may receive what they really want and what they really need.
