Photographic Memory

I think that I might have photographic memory. was really good at these kinds of things. For everything that happens that`s important, I ALWAYS remember the day of the week. I don`t know why - I`ve done this since I was a young child. If the event is unusual or I liked it, I can remember the date, the time, the weather, etc. This is usually an unwilling process - the only time that it shuts off is during times of high stress because I see the time in my mind as a darkly-covered area, the same way that I see events from when I was a year old. I am noise sensitive and I have perfect pitch. I remember things from when I was a baby that my parents expect me to have forgotten! Some things my parents don`t remember and I do, which makes it hard because they don`t believe that I remember them. If only they could read my brain...

Eidetic memory (as photographic memory is also known) is a topic that is being much discussed by scientists. It seems that right now they are pretty much split on the issue just as the readers of this thread are. I would like to postulate, however, that eidetic memory does exist. The human race is a diverse species and many of us have abilities that the rest of us can only dream about. Just because you or I might not be able to win the Tour De France 6 times in a row doesn`t mean that a supreme athlete like Lance Armstrong can`t. If you are seriously interested in this subject I suggest you have a look at the following link. Scientists have said that we use less then 10% of our brains. This article by Scientific American Magazine presents the theory that we may all have latent abilities hidden inside us that we, as of yet, have been unable to tap into.

Photographic Memory

I truly believe in photographic memories.I have one. I am a twelve year old girl, and I frequently use my photographic memory to maintain my 99.3 overall average for the past 3 years.I usually look over the text book and notes then ace the test by reading them in my head as I take it. I first noticed my memory not as a toddler, but around my tenth birthday. Since then, I`ve noticed it`s getting easier as I grew older. I feel I picture things 3x`s as easy as when I was 10. I know some people say that this ability isn`t really a photographic memory and that it will fade away as I grow older, but I disagree as I have experieneced my ability getting stronger not weeker as I grow older.
